Scheduled - We’ll be performing database maintenance across all regions. Keela will remain online and is expected to operate normally for most of the maintenance period. However, some functionality may be temporarily limited during designated off-hours.

Update - We have released additional performance optimizations and infrastructure improvements across Keela, including changes to reduce database load, improve background processing, and strengthen our monitoring of system performance. Early results show meaningful improvements in stability and response times across Canada and the USA, though we are continuing to monitor closely and investigate remaining intermittent slowdowns.

Our engineering team is reviewing the new data as it becomes available and will continue using it to guide further fixes and monitoring.

Investigating - We’re continuing to actively investigate intermittent performance issues affecting some Keela customers, including reports of slow loading in the main app and donation forms.
Since our last update, our engineering team has implemented several fixes and mitigations, including moving high-load background jobs away from customer-facing app servers, expanding internal monitoring, and improving visibility into CPU, memory, database, and job activity across affected environments. These changes have reduced some of the earlier spikes we observed, but recent customer reports show the issue is not fully resolved.
We now have additional engineers focused on identifying the remaining root cause, with particular attention on database query performance and form-related backend dependencies. We’ll continue to monitor closely and share further updates as we make progress.
